Receptionist/ First Aider

We are seeking to appoint a Receptionist/ First Aider at Robert Wilkinson Primary Academy commencing October 2017.

17.5hours per week term time only, 10.15am – 1.45pm | Grade 3 (Living wage supplement) | Part time

The ideal candidate will be a friendly, efficient and enthusiastic individual committed to working as part of our busy admin team. You will work as a member of the administration team within the school, providing a welcoming, efficient and effective reception cover. You will need to be first aid trained (or willing to go on a first aid course to be trained). Your main role will be to provide first aid, (primarily in our Medical Room), and to deal with children who have fallen over, feel unwell, need to take medication or have had an accident. You will also be responsible for updating students’ records with their medical details and ensuring school always has the correct first aid supplies. You will also be required to provide general office support covering a variety of tasks including answering the telephone, photocopying, welcoming visitors and other administration duties.

  • Experience of working in a school environment
  • A friendly and appraochable manner, with good communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to working within a team to provide a professional service to staff, parents and visitors
  • A flexible attitude to work, often requiring you to use your own initiative.
  • Experience with Word, Excel and Google mail/docs and be willing to undertake training for G2 Integris system
  • A sense of humour!
