Passion for fashion: children from Filey Church of England Nursery and Infants Academy on the catwalk in their school hall as part of a “sustainable fashion show”.
After working with dancers, costume designers and photographers from Scarborough’s Stephen Joseph Theatre, the Year 2 children made their own outfits from single use plastic. Together with the theatre they produced their own film highlighting the need to protect the environment.
Head of School Angela Clark praised the children for their responsible attitude towards sustainability. “I’m very proud that they have embraced this topic with such enthusiasm,” she said.
